If you own a 200 Series LandCruiser then we have an exciting new product specifically developed for all 200 Series models – the 3rd Generation “Nomad Lock-Up Kit”. The 200 Series Torque Converter Lock-Up Kit is:
- Fully automated with manual control on command.
- Water and dust resistant. Rated to IP67.
- Comes with five pre-set calibrations, all of which are easily adjustable to your personal preferences via an App on your phone or tablet.
- Bluetooth technology – connect via phone or tablet.
- No flash tune required.
- Proven major fuel savings.
- Able to manipulate and control your transmission temperature in times of need.
- 100% engine braking available on command – very useful when towing down those steep descents. Also helps in minimising brake temperatures when in use.

- Yes, I already have a GENII Lock-Up Kit – with Carling switchChoose this answer if you have one of our GENII Lock-Up Kits fitted and it uses the Carling Rocker switch instead of the OEM style push switch. This older model is not compatible with our upgrade kit and will require removal of your existing wiring loom and installation of a new full kit.
- Yes, I already have a GENII Lock-Up Kit – with OEM switchChoose this answer if you have one of our GENII Lock-Up Kits fitted and it uses the OEM style push switch. This version is compatible with our upgrade kit and will reduce the install time.

The Nomad Lock-Up module, when paired with the Nomad Lock-Up App is a breakthrough in electronic torque converter lock-up control technology. Simply connect your phone or tablet via Bluetooth, setup your car via the wizard on install and away you go. Over the coming months if you would like to make a change to any of the 5 pre-set calibrations you can do so with great ease via the App. Check out the following three videos below.
Want more control? Engage the manual lock-up switch to take full control eliminating all converter slippage and converter runaway on steep downhill descents allowing full 100% engine braking in all gears apart from first. However, if you install our Nomad Valve Body it will provide lock-up in all gears including first gear for those steep downhill descents offroad.
The 200 Series Torque Converter Lock-Up Kit is a fully automated kit. Using the Torque Converter Lock-Up Control while towing greatly improves your fuel economy, reduces transmission overheating, eliminating constant lock-up engagement and disengagement giving you longer life expectancy of the lock-up plate. Cheap and easy to fit, our kit comes complete with instructions, wiring loom, control module and OEM style switch that illuminates when lock-up is manually activated.

Installed this device on my 200 series. Unit works as described and you can see the Auto Transmission temperatures drop. Difficult to verify improved fuel economy, but overall I am happy with the product.

After previously having a different unit on my previous car. Found this unit to be equally as easy to fit. This unit has the ability to adjust you want it to engage and disengage. Previous unit didn’t allow this.
Time will tell how good this unit is.
Installation was easy and straight forward with comprehensive written and video instructions facilitating the process. Driving experience is so much better now with the smart lockup over the manual only gen1 unit. No more stall-outs if you forget to switch off and so much better on the highway. Next step will be transmission cooler upgrade for caravan towing. Well done wholesale Automatic Transmissions.
I found this nomad lock up kit completely progarmable,. you can set diff ratios, tyre sizes, change speed settings for when locked up and in what gear. plus heaps more very thought out product. have used towing 3 ton caravan and without can,t fault excellent product. can use in manual or auto and even set in manual even though it is in auto mode. well done mr orto

Bit tricky doing the wiring to the loom under bonnet but mostly as my second fuel filter and catch can is there
