Thermal Cooler Bypass Valve to suit Ranger and BT50 6 Speed Autos.
Adding a thermal bypass valve allows your cooler to operate at 100% capacity all the time. This is beneficial when towing and touring, particularly in warmer climates as we have in Australia and New Zealand.
Customer to supply their own fitting kit:
- Case Sleeve
- Pan Gasket
- Oil Filter
This bypass valve is also available with a full fitting kit.

Had the bypass valve when I added a transmission cooler. Very happy with the products and a good insurance to my vehicle
So, we put this in a few weeks back to try and give our very unhappy gearbox one last push before we replace it (hopefully at the end of this month) with our Extreme Plus gearbox. At this stage, our existing transmission is holding in and I put this solely to the bypass valve being installed before we left. We tow a heavy 3 ton van and we only experienced a little overheating as we reached our destination 3 hours from home. I am convinced that if I had fitted the bypass valve earlier, I might not be replacing the entire transmission now. I recommend this product and really hope our new gear box is as impressive. Thanks guys for letting us get away – we didn’t think it was going to happen.
